Groundwater supplies in southwestern Travis County continue to deplete as local entities struggle to manage a public resource trapped beneath private properties.
Eanes adds early voting location for May election
The Eanes school district added an early voting location at its Central Administration building for the May elections after the initial list of early voting sites identified by the county did not include a location in Westlake.
Registered voters can cast their ballot in the first-floor board room of the building at 601 Camp Craft Road. The voting site will be open for the duration of the early voting period, from April 19 to April 27 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and Saturday, and 12 noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Travis County has sole responsibility for securing early voting sites in advance of the May 1 local election, the district posted in a statement. However, no locations had been identified by the county within Eanes ISD, which would have required residents and staff of our school district to drive to outlying communities to vote early.
