Christina Franklin has been training and working in New York’s theater scene since she was eight years old. She will bring her newest play to the Irvington Town Hall Theatre this weekend, virtually. Franklin’s main character Courtney loves the internet but hates what it’s doing to her. In order to reclaim control of her offline life, she must face her online past the awkward chats, the software fads, the moments of immense discovery, and, of course, the trolls. Cleanse will be available to stream on demand from May 21-23. It contains strong language that may be unsuitable for younger audiences. These regulations include operating at 33% capacity, mandatory face masks for those age 2 and older unless actively eating or drinking, and tickets must be purchased in advance. Seats will be assigned for each showing and guests are asked to practice safe social distancing.
The theater s air filtration system has also been upgraded to increase the ventilation throughout the entire facility. We are incredibly grateful for the support our community has shown over the last very difficult year and we are looking forward to welcoming guests back home to the Playhouse, Michael Hoagland, the Playhouse s executive director, said in a release. When Bedford 2030 relaunched their organization last fall, they not only unveiled a new name, they committed to a new, aggressive goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the Town of Bedford 80% by 2030. As one part of the plan to achieve this ambitious objective, Bedford 2030 is thrilled to be launching a new initiative all about the power of soil and plants to capture carbon from the atmosphere.
