Six days ago since this category 4 storm made landfall more than 70,000 people have been rescued in one way or another and those rescues continue day after day after day. An unknown number of people are stranded and waiting for help and complicating the situation is the lost of electrical power and water in some places. To the east of houston in Orange County that area is under a mandatory evacuation order. Beaumont, texas now without fresh water after its water pumps failed. The city issued a boil water advisory to 135,000 residents there. Long lines formed outside Stores Selling water. And prices for food, water and gasoline, those prices have skyrocketed. The loss of fresh water forced the local hospital to stop operations and start the slow process of evaluating patients and evacuating them to other facilities. Just a few people at a time.
