Maine’s bear hunt is entering the final few busy days of the season just as other fall game seasons get going. The busiest part of the bear hunt is the stretch in which it’s legal to use bait to lure bears. That ends on Sept. 21. The rest of the season continues until Nov. 30, but it slows down considerably.
