James bishop iii was arrested over the weekend after this car was torched. One of a series of fires that happened the past couple of weeks throughout county. Investigators told me that they noticed an uptick in car arson fires at the beginning of april, but things really heated up last week with backtoback arson fires across the county. Garden apartment complex. Police say it was a coordinated attack by the owner. Investigators say he was targeting tenants he wanted to force high of rent to force out of rentcontrolled apartments.
