Say hello to Reveille X, Texas A&M s New Mascot
She replaces her retired predecessor, Reveille IX
Rev IX formally retires, in comes Rev X. She officially became the new mascot today, and made an appearance at Kyle Field with her student handler.

COLLEGE STATION, TX â Her fur might have frizzed a bit from the rainy weather, but Texas A&Mâs new mascot still turned heads as she crossed campus today. Today, Miss Reveille X took her first steps onto Kyle Field as the newest first lady of Texas A&M.â
Colton Ray, Reveille IX s former handler, and trainer to the newcomer, was involved in the selection of the collie puppy that would become Reveille X. The senior cadet said he looked for befitting qualities in a puppy.

Sanders Corps of Cadets Center.
The 18-month-old collie will spend the next few months training to serve as the regal, beloved symbol of
Texas A&M. She ll spend the spring semester shadowing
Reveille IX – who is now completing her sixth year in the role – learning all that s required to meet the rigors of mascot life. Mascot candidate Reveille X will officially assume her role in May after a process of training, searching and selection that lasted more than a year and a half. Picking the right animal to be the university s most public embodiment was a carefully considered process, said Brig. Gen.
