The migrant crisis and crime are likely to be at the forefront of some Big Apple voters’ minds as they head to the polls Tuesday to cast ballots for their New York City Council reps. Polls open at 6 a.m. and will close at 9 p.m. where two ballot initiatives will also be decided.
The polls are officially open for Election Day 2023, and Brooklynites are heading out to cast their votes in some of the city's most-watched council races.
In Tuesday's general election, there are 35 City Council races with more than one candidate on the ballot, as well as contests for District Attorney, Civil Court, Surrogate and Supreme Court judges, and two proposals that would amend the state constitution in relation to debt limits.
