Bill of Indictment Filed against Two in Public Room Case
The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje has filed a bill of indictment for production and distribution of children pornography against the creator and administrator of the Public Room group on the Telegram platform. The relevant public prosecutor has submitted also a proposal to the Criminal Court in Skopje to extend the previously issued detention order against the two charged persons. According to the charge, the two people, from 19 December 2019 to 28 January 2020, on Telegram, were in charge of controlling the content of the textual and audio-visual materials shared by the group’s members. However, in a premediated manner, they allowed an audio-visual material showing obvious sexual intercourses with a child to be available.

SCPC to Investigate Suspicions Around Procurement of Vaccines from China
The State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) decided to take actions for gathering more information concerning suspicions about claims in the media in Macedonia that the government engaged a fictive company based in Hong Kong for procurement of COVID-19 vaccines from Chinese producer Sinopharm. SCPC President Biljana Ivanovska said that they will gather information and analyse the circumstances, and that other institutions like the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office should also analyse the indications in the media. 2021-03-12

“Monster” Trial Protest in Front of Public Prosecutor’s Office
Family members and supporters of the defendants in the “Monster” case are held protest on Friday in front of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office. The protest is due to the dissatisfaction of the families of the defendants in this case, after the Prosecution in its closing remarks at the last court hearing demanded the highest sentences for the five persons accused of the murders on 12 April 2012 at Lake Smilkovci.
