Mid Cheshire Foodbank is running low on rice pudding, tinned meat and savoury spreads A FOODBANK is appealing for more donations as the Covid-19 pandemic has seen a rise in people using the service. The Mid Cheshire Foodbank, based in Winsford, is running low on a number of items including rice pudding, savoury spreads and tinned meat. Cllr Nathan Pardoe, who volunteers at the foodbank, said: We re feeding more people due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Large or small, all food donations are gratefully received. Please try to drop off at a local supermarket whilst you are shopping.
A PLEA for donations is being made as foodbanks feed more people than ever before due to the pandemic. Mid Cheshire Foodbank is helping twice as many families compared to this time last year as demand soars. People from all backgrounds are struggling to survive. Winsford Town Cllr Nathan Pardoe, and member of Cheshire West and Chester Council who is a foodbank volunteer and trustee, says that most people seeking help have jobs. Most people are working but simply don t have enough money because of the cost of living, said Cllr Pardoe. We have professional people and a cross section of society seeking help.
