DMX will be mourned at a memorial with family and close friends at the Barclays Center in New York.
The memorial will be held for him at the arena in Brooklyn on Saturday at 4 p.m. EST. The event will be closed to the public and restricted to only close friends and family due to pandemic conditions.
Organizers said in a statement they will follow New York COVID-19 testing guidelines and protocols. The statement said that New York State limits indoor arenas to 10% capacity.
The ceremony will be livestreamed on DMX’s YouTube channel.

Monster Truck Carries Coffin In Biker Caravan To DMX’s Memorial At Barclays Center View all 6
A procession of the Ruff Ryders rap group, hundreds of motorcyclists, and a monster truck bearing a red coffin reportedly carrying DMX’s body converged at the rapper’s memorial service at Barclays Center on Saturday afternoon. The caravan was met with scores of fans who took to the streets and sidewalks surrounding the venue.
Emblazoned with the logo “Long Live DMX,” the monster truck along with the Ruff Ryders and many of the motorcyclists began their procession in Yonkers, where DMX grew up. The memorial ride was called The Ruff Ryders 2 The Rescue: Ryde 4 Life.
