Walid Daqqa, one of the longest-serving Palestinian prisoners in Israel, died of cancer on Sunday at the age of 63 after almost four decades of incarceration.
The body of the activist, who was suffering from cancer, is still being held by the Israeli authorities. Fifteen Palestinians have died in Israeli prisons since October 7, 2023.
