After six years in the courts, a Hawke s Bay developer has been bankrupted - again - by an orange juice mogul. The High Court at Napier adjudicated Gareth Paterson bankrupt on December 16, following applications by companies connected to Charlie s juice co-founder Stefan Lepionka seeking payment of more than $61,000 in court cost awards.
The cost awards followed years of bitter litigation after Paterson s development at Horseshoe Bend in the Tukituki Valley ran into financial problems. Lepionka took over Westpac s mortgage in a bid to protect a $463,000 deposit paid for four subdivision lots.
u.s. economy up. that s terrific. they ve still got jobs. but we are worried about hours worked have fallen in the last couple of months. because when employers start cutting back on hours worked, the next shoe to drop may be if they don t feel more comfortable about the economy, cuts instead of increases in payrolls. that s something we are watching very quickly. the. i am going to talk to vaughn hillyard in a moment. you are from the midwest. you are based in chicago. the price of crops is a major concern, both to the economy but to farmers in america. what do you make of the effect that this is having on america s farmers? well, there s no question it s been devastating to america s farmers. for the bailouts and the payments that have come from the government they go mostly to larger farms. we have seeable bankruptcies in seen bankrupts in the farm sectors since the wake of the financial crisis because of what s been going on in farming but they ve been hit by floods and scorc
that s kind of his deal. this is how he started. he was a british power trooper, came here, was actually came to the u.s. without a green card. he was literally an illegal immigrant. he was. and he comes here on a tourist visa, ends up selling t-shirts on the boardwalk in venice, and by his own admission, he sells them whole sale for 18, and he resells us donald trump and tells us something else all together. a lot of people talk about how they all thought it was a somewhat preposterous undertaking, someone has a great quote. they said he had just gone through i don t know how many bankrupts, it was like making the court jester the king. this is a weird thing. i talked to a bunch of people.
through i don t know how many bankrupts, it was like making the court jester the king. this is a weird thing. i talked to a bunch of people. the apprentice was delivered with a wink, that the people around the show knew that trump wasn t this big success but that somehow the american people just didn t get the joke. do you think that s true? i don t really buy it. so i went back and watched god, i watched, you know, two dozen episodes of the apprentice. i don t think there s anything campy. the whole thing is he s presented this master of the universe, the whole idea of it was the winner becomes the apprentice of donald trump, the dream job of a lifetime. but all the people you talked to who are closest to it view that as ridiculous. what s so weird about this is what the show is portraying this guy is a brilliant business master and literally everyone as far as i can tell says this guy
