FG plans another bailout for the sector Unrepatriated funds of foreign airlines in Nigeria and 16 other African countries have been estimated at $601 million. x The stuck fund is proceeds of ticket sales made in local currency but blocked due to the non-availability of foreign exchange to recoup it. Foreign airlines explain extra measures, seek cooperation Travel operators, Wednesday, kicked against the new COVID-19 antigen tests among other safety measures now imposed by some foreign airlines plying the Nigerian route. x The operators flayed the additional discomfort and extra cost imposed on the travelling public in Nigeria alone, describing them as exploitative.
