HIV/AIDS constitutes one of the most formidable challenges to development and social progress. The epidemic exacerbates inequality, and poverty, and imposes an increasing burden on the most vulnerable people in society. The Bangalore School Sports Foundation, established in 2009, helps bridge this gap and supports progressive development by creating active, value-based sports and recreational programs, as well as mobilising resources for children.
Nine athletes (track and field) and four basketball players participate in this year’s Global Multi-Sport Competition, recognised, endorsed, and organised under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The ICG is a multisport competition exclusively for children aged 12 to 15, hosted annually in different countries by city mayors and governors, inviting children from all over the globe.
