The Kern County Board of Supervisors has approved a third round of disbursements for the $15.3 billion dollar Homelessness Housing Assistance and Prevention Grant.
The Bakersfield Kern Regional Homeless Collaborative (BKRHC) is looking for volunteers to help with the 2023 Point-in-Time Count to be held Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 4:30 to 9 a.m.
The governor says municipalities are not addressing the issue aggressively enough, but Kern County homeless advocates say the county is doing better than the rest of the state.
