Arkansas won the 4x400 relay in a meet record time of 3:29.38 to cap the Razorback Invitational weekend at the Randal Tyson Track Center with Rosey Effiong supplying an anchor leg of 51.61 seconds.
No. 1 Arkansas hosts the Razorback Invitational this Friday and Saturday inside the Randal Tyson Track Center. Two other women’s teams currently ranked in the top 25 among the field of 12 teams include No. 9 LSU and No. 16 Georgia.
Razorback sprinters, hurdlers, and vaulters will be in action on Friday, competing among a challenging field in the Red Raider Open hosted by Texas Tech in the Sports Performance Center. A live stream of the meet will be available on ESPN+, starting at 10 a.m. CT.
Razorback senior Shafiqua Maloney highlighted the Razorback women’s performance with a trio of wins at the Arkansas Invitational.. Maloney set a meet record in the 800m, improved her career best in the 400m, and anchored the 4x400 relay to a meet record.
The Razorbacks host a 12-team field in the Arkansas Invitational on Friday, Jan. 14, inside the Randal Tyson Track Center. The first field event begins at noon while running events start at 2:30 p.m. A live stream will be available on SEC Network + starting at 2:30 p.m. CT.
