New Delhi: An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Ritcher scale hit Tajikistan on Friday night. Strong tremors were felt across the northern parts of India. While many people fled their homes in panic, others went about doing their usual work. Among them was Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Gandhi was virtually interacting with the students of the Institute of Politics, University of Chicago when the earthquake hit on Friday night. The Congress leader remained unfazed by the tremors and continued with the live session calmly. A video capturing Gandhi s reaction to the earthquake has gone viral on social media.

An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter Scale hit Tajikistan late Friday night. Strong tremors were felt across the north Indian subcontinent with tremors in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, the Delhi-NCR and Uttarakhand.
The earthquake struck the Tajikistan-Xinjiang border region at a depth of 86 km (53.4 miles). The area of the epicenter is largely unpopulated mountain terrain, part of the mighty Pamir mountains. It is located in the Badakhshan National Park, part of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO) in southeastern Tajikistan.
