Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday visited Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola at the Okefia Government House, Osogbo, the state capital.
Wife of the governor, Kafayat Oyetola, and a few aides joined him to receive the former Nigerian leader.
In pictures of the visit shared on social media, Oyetola was seen presenting a gift to his visitor.
Although details of what the two men discussed were not available as of press time, Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ismail Omipidan, when contacted, said the visit was not behind closed doors.
Former Chairman of Ecobank Nigeria Limited and fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Dr. John Agboola Odeyemi, has advocated for massive job creation by government at all levels as the only antidote to the worsening security situation in the country.
Speaking shortly after a thanksgiving service marking his 82nd birthday anniversary at Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, Diocese of Ife (Church of Nigeria), Ayegbaju Ile Ife, Osun State, Odeyemi who expressed deep worry about the state of the nation, declared that this is the time radical decisions ought to be taken to address various challenges facing the nation.
Odeyemi, who was also a former National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), explained that if the decision would lead to inflation in the country, there was no cause for alarm stressing that massive jobs creation would save the country from many challenges weighing down the nation especially
