Murad says cases are on the rise since Eid; meeting mulls more restrictions

The Sindh government decided on Saturday to retain the current restrictions in the province, amid a surge in the Covid-19 cases, for another two weeks.
The decision was reached at a meeting of the coronavirus taskforce led my Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
Murad told the meeting that the highest number of 24,299 samples were tested in Sindh yesterday. As a result, 2136 new cases were reported.
At present the positivity ratio in Sindh is 8.8 per cent, the chief minister added.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The World Health Organization (WHO) has donated medical equipment and vehicles worth Rs220 million to Sindh.
According to details, Mobile vaccination vans, double cabin vehicles, medical equipment are also included in the donation. Meanwhile renovation of 345 vaccination centers in the province has also been started.
WHO Representative in Pakistan Dr. Palitha Mahipala handed over medical equipments and other items at EPI Sindh Headquarters to Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechoho.
In a speech at EPI Sindh Karachi office, Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechoho said that the World Health Organization (WHO) has always provided medical facilities and equipment to the people of Sindh.
