The vandalism was condemned by the city’s mayor.”
According to
Jewish Press, Rabbi Zamir Isayev also tweeted: “What a disgrace! A monument to the victims of the Holocaust was once again desecrated in Yerevan. How can the Armenians justify the desecration of a Holocaust memorial by the fact that Israel sold weapons to Azerbaijan? Does this give someone the right to desecrate the memorial?”

Desecrated Armenian Holocaust Memorial
Recently, it was reported that the âTo Live and Not Forgetâ Holocaust Memorial in Yerevan, Armenia was vandalized by local anti-Semites, who sprayed over the Hebrew inscriptions on the monument. The World Jewish Congress condemned the anti-Semitic vandalism: âIt is horrible to see that the Holocaust memorial in Yerevan, Armenia was vandalized with vile anti-Semitic graffiti. The vandalism was condemned by the cityâs mayor.â
Rabbi Zamir Isayev also tweeted: âWhat a disgrace! A monument to the victims of the Holocaust was once again desecrated in Yerevan. How can the Armenians justify the desecration of a Holocaust memorial by the fact that Israel sold weapons to Azerbaijan? Does this give someone the right to desecrate the memorial?â
UNESCO
A few years ago, Israel left UNESCO together with the United States due to their anti-Israel bias. This came after UNESCO recognized the Tomb of the Patriarchs, the second holiest site in the Jewish faith, as âan integral part of the occupied Palestinian territories.â In addition, the international body has denied the Jewish connection to Rachelâs Tomb and the Temple Mount including the Western Wall, the holiest place in the world in Judaism.
At the time, Israel explained that they left UNESCO largely because they felt that they could not take a stronger pro-Israel stance than President Trump, who left the international body because they were anti-Israel.
