Coronavirus Ayrshire: Scammers target residents with fake vaccine messages

Scammers target Ayrshire residents with fake coronavirus vaccine messages Ayrshire residents are being urged to watch out for scammers who are exploiting the coronavirus pandemic by sending out fake COVID-19 vaccine appointments. The fraudulent messages contain content that suggests an individual is eligible to apply for the vaccine and require a link to be clicked. Clicking on the link will then require the entry of personal details and may even ask for payment. NHS bosses and the police are encouraging locals if they receive a scam email or text not to click on links, not to call or send a message to any of the numbers and to delete the message.
