We have created just over 3000 manufacturing jobs each month over the last year. At the current rate it will take as 41 years to get back to the number of people working in manufacturing that we had in december 2007. And it aint going to get better. Its going to get worse. Between december 2007 and december 2014 when we will theoretically get back to the same level, the workforce will have grown by 12 main people. Theres no job. Some kid gets out of school with a degree and they selected to get a job at every step. Some mom reenters the workforce, kids on the school and she renders the workforce, no jobs available. Some veteran gets out of the military and there are no jobs. Both parties have economic challenges and both parties need to have a robust debate internally about what they propose to do about it.
