(WDAM) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reported nearly another 2,600 newly confirmed daily COVID-19 cases in the state. MSDH reported 2,575 new COVID-19 cases and 29 additional deaths Friday. Eleven new deaths were reported between Dec. 19-31, including one in Forrest County, while another 18 deaths were discovered during a review of death certificates between Nov. 11-Dec. 28. The latest figures brought the state’s total cases and deaths since March to 218,386 and 4,816.
