Joining us. Im alma dietz. We begin with developing news out of the east bay. An investigation of a house fire is now a homicide investigation. The fire started inside a home on grove way in castro valley. The Sheriffs Office is there now and so is abc 7 reporter katie marzullo. Katie, whats the latest . Reporter they let us know that technicians inside the home will be on the scene for several more hours, if not overnight, sifting through the debris inside the home there. They tell us this is truly a horrific crime scene. Heres what we know right now as we take a look at some video shot earlier today, that a woman was found dead in a burning home. It was around 2 45 this morning. But as we mentioned, we know now that the woman was not killed in the fire. They performed an autopsy around 9 00 this morning calling her death a murder. Sheriffs spokesperson telling me that he can confirm she was not shot but that she suffered brutal and violent injuries consistent with homicide. Her body
