As per the order, Attorney General R Venkataramani assured the Bench during the hearing that the Centre was actively considering issues raised by the High Court in its previous orders.
Venkataramani succeeds KK Venugopal as the country's topmost law officer even as the Supreme Court is in the midst of hearing a number of matters of constitutional importance.
Senior advocate R Venkataramani will succeed K K Venugopal, whose term will end on September 30. At the request of the Central Government, he agreed to continue for three more months as Attorney General of India.
