Today, Philadelphia City Council Passed a bill t decriminalize the possession of smaller amounts of marijuana for Recreational Use. Mayor Michael Nutter still has some time to sign or veto that bim. Right now in philadelphia, the penalty for possession of an ounce of marijuana for Recreational Use results in a mandatory arrest, but the new ordinance would lessen the penalty to a 25 fine and a ticket.
