AT-1 bonds, also known as Additional Tier 1 bonds, are a type of debt instrument that banks issue to meet their capital requirements under Basel III regulations
The SBI will come out with all three types - AT-1 bonds, infrastructure bonds, and tier-2 bonds, the report said citing sources. "The issuances will be healthy, based on the initial assessments of credit growth and demand."
The Court opined that the administrator did not have powers to write down once the bank stood reconstituted and hence, the said decision ought to be quashed and set aside.
