And then this police say 0yr ldivr and her passenger where traveling too fast when she tried to turn off east 27th street on to shady lane drive. The pt cruiser ran over the stop sign at the corner and slammed into the garage. Police say the driver and her passenger only had minor injuries. The husband and wife inside the house. Along with there son were not harmed. Charges against the driver are pendg it took an airlift from a helicopter to get a knoxville man the medical attention he needed afr a fire left him with third degree burns. The incident happened just after 1 pm. Fire crews say that the man, in his mid 50s, was working on his truck in the driveway when it suddenly caught coveralls which then lit the tops of his boots. 301 in palmetto. Police there say the guy got into a road rage incident with another vehicle. And fired shots at that vehicle in palmetto. While the suspect continued south on u. S. 301, figured he was far enough away, it was safe to pull into the 7eleven for coffee, by then Palmetto Police alerted Manatee County deputies to be on the lookout for the car and a deputy happened to be at the same intersection at the 7eleven. Got out of his vehicle, questioned the driver and detained him until police arrived. The victims werent actually shot but you can imagine the terrifying and rattling morning to have been fired at, and bullets lodged into their vehicle. They were taken down here to the 7eleven to identify the vehicle, to positively identify the person they say is the shooter. Palmetto Police Arrested that man this morning.
