Bhopal, Nov 17 (PTI) Polling began Friday morning for assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, where 2,533 candidates, including Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his predecessor Kamal Nath are in the fray for 230 assembly seats, in a largely straight contest between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress.
However, polling in nine stations of Bindranavagarh Assembly constituency in Chhattisgarh will be held from 7 am to 3 pm. While the single-phased polling for Madhya Pradesh is currently underway, voting for the first phase in Chhattisgarh for 20 seats was held on November 7.
