HS 1st year examinations postponed due to COVID pandemic
Due to the surging COVID-19 cases across the State, the ensuing higher secondary (HS) 1st year examinations under the Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC) have been postponed.

GUWAHATI: Due to the surging COVID-19 cases across the State, the ensuing higher secondary (HS) 1st year examinations under the Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC) have been postponed.
The exams were scheduled to be held from May 4. This was informed to the media by AHSEC Chairman Dr Dayananda Borgohain.
He underlined that though the 1st year examinations have been postponed, no decision has been taken to postpone the HS final year examinations which will be held from May 11.
CICSE Board Exams for Class 10 from May 5, Class 12 Exam from April 8
Usually, the CICSE board exams are conducted in February-March of each year, however, the exams were delayed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

NEW DELHI: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CICSE) in a notification stated that the board exams for classes 10 and 12 from May 5 and April 8 respectively. The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), which is the Class 10 exam, will be conducted from May 5 to June 7. The Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC), which is Class 12 exam, will be conducted from April 8 to June 16, said Gerry Arathoon, the CICSE Chief Executive and Secretary.

Guwahati: Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC) on Wednesday (January 6) released routine for the Higher Secondary final year examination 2021.
The exams for all three semester-Science, Arts, and Commerce will start from May 11. The practical exams will be held from April 20 to May 5. The last day of the exam is June 14.
The examination timing for morning shift is from 9 am to 12 noon, and for the afternoon shift, the timing is 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

Guwahati: Ahead of the Assam Higher Secondary 2nd year examination scheduled to be held from the first week of March 2021 the Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC) is preparing for smooth conduct of the examinations so that there would not be any discrepancies in the examinations.
A meeting in this regard was held in the office of the Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC) on December 31, 2020, where a high-level committee has been formed for conducting the examination smoothly and discussed many important aspects related to the examination.
