The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members on Friday clashed in the MCD House during the election of the Standing Committee. The MCD House has been adjourned earlier as well over ruckus between AAP and BJP members. In the latest clash, the AAP and BJP members pushed, shoved, exchanged blows, and vandalised the House. A councillor, Ashok Manu, collapsed and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
A massive fight broke out between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and BJP councillors inside the house of Delhi's civic body after the Mayor declared one vote invalid in the election to six members of a key municipal committee.
Re-election of members of the Standing Committee, the apex decision-making body of the MCD, will be held again on February 27, mayor Shelly Oberoi said.
