the west of the philadelphia area. we have some really heavy rain coming into berks county, the western portion of berks just west of reading. this is an area that s already had probably more than two inches of rain in some spots so there could be flooding in that area. another batch just west of allentown right along i-78. this is moderate to heavy. it s headed up toward the pocono mountains. as you can see, there s more back to the west. some big storms in northeastern maryland and even bigger ones farther to the west. those are things we will have to watch through the evening hours because the future cast weather computers showing hour by hour that there will be more heavy showers and storms coming in later on this evening from that western area that we just showed you coming in perhaps even in the middle of the night. we did get up to 90 degrees just barely in philadelphia today, extending the heat wave, but it s down to 79 right now with that rain. we will talk more abou
even the woman shot a few times in the stomach. police don t know if the victims were the intended targets or not. investigators say that the way the gunman carried out this triple shooting made clear that he had no problem terrorizing the entire neighborhood. all i was hearing like was like gunfire back-to-back. reporter: with two men and one woman wounded, investigators wasted no time to track down the gunman who sprayed bullets. witnesses say he was in a gold minivan. the shooter was standing up and his upper body was coming out of a sunroof. and he was firing an assault rifle in the direction of all three victims. reporter: from their doorways, neighbors watched as detectives mark the nine spent shell casings on the street. we found two separate caliber spent shell casings. we don t know if that one shooter used a separate weapon or there was a second shooter involved. i pray every day. i pray every day for my safety and my family. reporter: the victims we

transylvania county man charged with first degree murder continues. richard o shields is accused of shooting and killing toby mathis in 2011. holly: news 13 s lauren brigman is live outside the courthouse in brevard. lauren, several people claim they saw o shields pull the trigger. lauren: yeah, witnesses say that o shields came into the rosman dollar general store and began firing at mathis. authorities say o shields shot him five times. prosecutors are calling this a revenge killing. they say that o shields killed mathis as payback for his son s death. mathis was charged with involuntary manslaughter for the death of o shield s son joey months prior to the shooting. on friday, the jury heard from prosecution witnesses including the county s medical examiner at the time of the killing. he detailed a diagram of mathis wounds. a detective with the transylvania county sheriff offense department testified lead fragments were found at the scene and the jury saw surveilla
