Lobos Sweep Awards as Wolf and Guereca Named MW Players of the Week
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. The University of New Mexico volleyball team opened up the season with a sweep of Nevada, and now have swept the Mountain West Player of the Week awards.
Following their first two collegiate matches in a Lobo uniform, freshman Kali Wolf was named MW Offensive Player of the Week, while redshirt-freshman Uxue Guereca was named the MW Defensive Player of the Week.
It is the first time since 2017 that the Lobos have swept the weekly conference award, with the only other time being Oct. 30, 2017 with setter Sarah Lobo and libero Ashley Kelsey.

In a new promotional video, members of The Challenge: Double Agents cast revealed their top picks for NFL stars best suited to compete on the current season of the show.
The picks come on one of the biggest days for the NFL Playoffs, as the AFC and NFC teams will be determined for Super Bowl LV.
Amongst The Challenge stars appearing in the video are two-time champion Wes Bergmann, veteran competitor Leroy Garrett, and former Big Brother star Kaycee Clark.
“Congratulations my man!!!! ” Double Agents competitor Kyle Christie commented.
“Ahhhh Congrats!!!! All the best to u and ur growing fam!!!!” Theresa Jones wrote to Derrick.
“Awww so happy for you two! Congrats!” Ashley Kelsey commented on Derrick’s post.
“Wow wow wow Congratulations,” Kelly Anne Judd wrote.
Other stars from The Challenge who offered congratulatory comments included Tori Deal, Tori Hall Gwinn, Mark Long, Veronica Portillo, Darrell Taylor, and Kam Williams.
Derrick proposed at the couple’s hiking spot
According to Us Weekly, the 37-year-old Derrick Kosinski set up a romantic proposal this past Tuesday at Coopers Rock State Forest in West Virginia, a spot where the couple enjoys hiking together.

Former Real World and The Challenge star Ashley Marie Kelsey revealed the big news around Christmas that she and boyfriend Kerryon Johnson are expecting their first child together.
The couple shared a gender reveal video on their official Instagram profiles, with fans learning the couple was having a baby girl.
Along with Ashley Kelsey announcing her pregnancy came fan questions, which she recently addressed on her Instagram. That included Ashley revealing that a Double Agents star pushed her to take a pregnancy test.
