Three Officers Injured, Suspect Killed During Police Chase

Three officers were injured during a police chase in Georgia Monday morning that ended with a suspect dead and another in custody.
At a news conference on Monday, authorities said three officers had been shot during the pursuit, including one who crashed into a utility pole.
Sgt. Rob Holloway, an officer with the Carrollton Police Department, Villa Rica police officer Chase Gordy and Carroll County sheriff s deputy Jay Repetto were identified as the officers injured during the chase. All three were hospitalized.
The pursuit began when a Georgia State Patrol trooper stopped a Nissan for speeding at 111 mph on Interstate 20 early on Monday morning, according to Georgia State Patrol Captain Brandon Dawson.
