Aggravated sexual assault and armed robbery in Woodbridge under investigation

WOODBRIDGE - Authorities are investigating an aggravated sexual assault and armed robbery in Port Reading section of the township, said Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Robert Hubner of the Woodbridge Police Department.
An initial investigation by Officer Robert Montalvo of the Woodbridge Police Department and Detective Linda Infusino of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined a man and a woman were approached on Friday evening in the area of Lee Street and Scott Place by two individuals and held at gunpoint.
The investigation further determined the female victim was sexually assaulted, officials said.
