New Delhi: The vociferous protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) in Assam have led to the birth of three regional parties in the poll-bound state.
Of these, the Anchalik Gana Morcha has entered into an alliance with the Congress and the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) to contest the assembly polls, scheduled for this April-May. The two others â the Raijor Dal (RD) and Asam Jatiyo Parishad (AJP) â have joined hands to fight the polls as a combined anti-CAA forum against the ruling BJP.
