She has been in her current role since 2016 and prior to the archives she managed the design and fabrication of a 22,000 squarefoot exhibition for the mississippi arts and entertainment experience. What are the guardrails see a situation where a donor would fund something more specific than that, right, outreach to a Certain Community or voting and certain neighborhoods, right and one can easily see concerning situations and im just curious in terms of the scope of these grants. What are the guardrails and im just concerned, were seeing this after post election but im wondering in the review process and looking at what those conditions of these grant grant, how we ensure theyre not used in anyway from a large donor that might be trying to influence election results. Well, these sorts of grants are rare. This is the first time ive experienced this and we had a grant from outside of the Government Entity to Fund Anything election related. But then, the first test would be the department itself. Whatever we would do as far as receiving funds and expending them would be for the over all elections process. These venues are cultural institutions. They were the first to close and will be the last to reopen. The impact of the des mission of this industry cannot be overstated. The stories you have heard underscore this. People are grossly affected by the complete dorm antsy of these venues since march. They define the culture of this city.
