NEW BEDFORD â After Tito Jackson lost the Boston mayorâs race in 2017, he began to take stock of his life and heritage.
Heâd long been open about his adoption, but all he knew, based on some basic information heâd received years ago from the adoption agency, was that his birth mother was just 13 years old when she had him, and that she had been sexually assaulted by two men.
