Police and organization Éduc'alcool will be handing out 10,000 aluminum drink guards at Montreal bars and local events. The project, called "Check ton verre," aims to prevent spiking and "excessive alcohol consumption." Éduc'alcool says the goal is not "to put the burden on potential victims, but rather to raise awareness about safe and responsible behaviour."
Montreal is home to so many swanky bars, pubs, and lounges, but if you're looking to spice up your nights out in the city with a splash of secrecy, then a hidden speakeasy ought to do the trick.
Times can be tough these days, but that doesn’t stop you from going out to bars in Montreal now and then, does it? The good news is that you don’t need to break the bank. These bars won’t just serve you a great drink, but they’re served in the kind of places that will make you feel like a million bucks.
Anyone who watched the first season of Netflix’s Drink Masters might have noticed that not one but two mixologists were repping the Montreal bar scene: Loyd Von Rose and Tao Zrafi. Both had strong momentum on the show and Zrafi ended up a finalist. Now, his work can be found at the new bar Baby.
There's nothing quite like going to the local pub with friends to grab a drink. The only thing that could make it better is ordering some amazing food to take it to the next level. With Montreal being home to some of the best pubs across the country, you're bound to find yourself having a blast all while treating your taste buds to some delish food.
