Millbank Memorial action continued at Fraser Downs on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 23) with the third leg of the Robert Millbank Memorial, for two-year-old pacing colts, and the third leg for the Betty Millbank Memorial, for two-year-old pacing fillies.
The six-year-old Captaintreacherous gelding Armycaptin Hanover had another successful night at the office to again take the $10,000 Open Pace at Fraser Downs, scoring his third win in a row on Wednesday night (Oct. 12).
Fraser Downs hosted pacing freshmen on Wednesday night (Oct. 5) in two $15,000 divisions of the Robert Millbank Memorial second preliminary, for colts and geldings, and in a single $20,000 split of the Betty Millbank Memorial second preliminary, for fillies.
On the night Aaron Judge matched Roger Maris’s record of 61 homeruns in the regular baseball season, a horse named Mickie Mantle – a player once teammates with Maris – hit a homerun of his own in winning the first of two $15,000 divisions of the Robert Millbank Memorial at Fraser Downs Wednesday night (Sept. 28).
The eight-year-old Mach Three gelding Mach Steady took the lead and clung to the finish to win the $10,000 Open Handicap Pace at Fraser Downs on Wednesday night (Sept. 21).
