John Credle and David Plesher elected to Ardmore City Commission

The Daily Ardmoreite The Ardmore City Commission will be welcoming two new members when they meet on May 3 as John Credle, Jr. and David Plesher will be sworn in to begin their first terms. The pair were elected to serve on Tuesday, and according to the unofficial results provided by the Oklahoma State Election Board, each candidate received approximately 45% of the votes in their respective wards. John Credle, Jr. will be the new commissioner for Ward 2 and will represent the Northeast section of the city. Out of the 1.323 votes cast, Credle received 591 or 44.67%. Angela Sharp came in second place with 297 votes. Blake Gordon, Jr. received 238 votes, and Brad Blackwood received 197.

Voter registration deadline for local elections is Friday The Daily Ardmoreite On Tuesday, April 6 voters across Carter County will be heading to the polls to vote in local elections. The deadline for voter registration is this Friday, March 12 for those who are not yet registered. Friday will also be the deadline for registered voters to update their voter information. Voters in Oklahoma have two options to get registered. Carter County residents can register in person at the Carter County Election Board located at 25 A St. NW, Suite 100 or online at oklahoma.gov/elections. Perspective voters will need to provide their name, date of birth, and street address as well as either their driver’s license number or the last four digits of their social security number.
