Henrico inspectors have found approximately 1,800 violations of building code violations since the New Jersey-based owner bought the Glenwood Farms complex five years ago. From 2018 to present, apartments at Glenwood Farms were at times unheated and leaked sewage onto the ground outside. Many had floors that had rotted away and dangerous electrical and gas installations, according to court records and Henrico County citations against the complex.
The three corporate owners of a troubled Little Rock apartment complex were each ordered Monday to pay $1,000 in daily fines after Pulaski County Circuit Judge Cara Connors held those behind Big Country Chateau in contempt for failing to turn over financial and ownership documentation to the receiver selected to run the 151-unit complex.
Pulaski County Circuit Judge Cara Connors on Monday imposed immediate $1,000-per-day fines on the three companies behind the troubled Big Country Chateau apartments until the companies either provide all of the financial documentation she ordered them to turn over in February to the appointed receiver or explain why that cannot be done.
