Tallahassee, Fla. – Florida State freshman cross country runner Jane Eiselstein was chosen at the ACC Women’s Freshman of the Week on Tuesday. The honor is given weekly the top-performing true freshman in the league. In her first outing in the Garnet and Gold, Eiselstein was the third Seminole to cross the finish line at the FSU Invite, placing 27th behind a personal best of 18:20.3 in the 5K. The Chattanooga, Tennessee, native, helped the Noles place fourth at the meet. Eiselstein is the first to win the honor since Alyson Churchill took home the weekly recognition in October of 2020. “We’re very excited about the announcement of Jane being the ACC Freshman of the Week,” FSU women’s distance coach Baylee Mires said. “This honor highlights her dedication, hard work, and tenacity when it comes to racing.
