A Christian County grand jury indictment for attempted murder of two police officers has been served against a Hopkinsville man.
The indictment warrant for two counts of attempted murder and one count of first-degree wanton endangerment was served against 25-year old Anthony Dyson of Hopkinsville.
Two Hopkinsville police officers were responding to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of East 13th Street just after midnight on New Year’s Day and found a man holding a gun standing on the front porch of a home.
Sgt. Tony Sierra says Dyson is accused of being that man who allegedly took off running and fired two shots with one going through a civilian vehicle and striking the rear of the occupied unmarked HPD cruiser.
A Hopkinsville man has been charged Wednesday in connection to shots being fired at two Hopkinsville Police officers on West 13th Street on January 1st.
