Neither of them will be in the priority group identified by the government. Yet, both of them play a critical role in India regaining its economic momentum.
While many companies have been driving the gender diversity agenda as a business case on shop floor for the last few years, the pandemic has accelerated the entry of women into the shop floor as many highly strenuous roles — that have been hitherto a male bastion — have been automated, thus making way for women who can manage them.
