The International Booker Prize celebrates fiction that's been translated into English. This year's shortlist, announced Tuesday morning, features books in six languages from three continents.
Dutch author Jente Posthuma has advanced to the shortlist of nominees for the International Booker Prize. Her book, What I'd Rather Not Think About, is on the list for the prestigious British prize. The international version of the award is handed out to author and translator of the jury's pick for the best book written in another language and then translated into English.
From books about disintegrating relationships and countries to a worker’s-eye view of Korea and a story of farmers in Brazil, the selected titles engage with current realities, say the judging panel
