The Georgia Board of Education on June 16 quietly approved the facilities plan for DeKalb County Schools, making the district eligible for state funds for building projects.
At a special called meeting May 31, the DeKalb Board of Education voted unanimously to restore Druid Hills High School to the district’s five-year facilities plan, just ahead of a June 1 deadline required by the Georgia Department of Education.
With the state Department of Education breathing down its neck and a deadline looming, the DeKalb County School Board will once again consider the modernization of Druid Hills High.
