A tree fell at Kharton Road in Thane on Wednesday morning, as per the information received by the Disaster Management Unit of Thane Municipal Corporation
Two victims of a car accident in Ulhasnagar, Somudeep Jana and his aunt Anjali Jana, were returning home after a visit to West Bengal for a marriage proposal. Another victim, Shambhu Chavan, was a former truck driver. The Janas' relatives will accept both bodies for the final rites after Anjali's elder son arrives in the city. Chavan had quit his job and took his son's autorickshaw to earn money. He is survived by three sons and a daughter. The accident occurred when Chavan was on his way to Ambernath.
