The GCA (Global Creative Alliance) is now made up of 22 countries including the UK, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Singapore, South Korea and the USA among others. The purpose of the GCA is to encourage more effective international collaboration between producers and increase opportunities for co-productions.

MUMBAI: The Indian film & TV industry is counted among the entertainment powerhouses of the world. The Indian filmmakers, artistes, behind-the-camera personages who have been feted internationally are beyond count, as are the movies and series that left an indelible mark on our society and culture. But it was actually two foreigners – the Lumiere brothers – who gave the gift of motion pictures to India. It is a no-brainer that growing internet penetration, cheap data rates, and just the sheer availability of digital entertainment and logistical options have contributed to its stellar rise. While the traditional modes of advertising have been struggling to keep the cash registers ringing, partly because of the continuing dip in the economy and partly due to the Covid2019 lockdown’s impact on businesses across the spectrum, digital marketing enjoyed quite a positive stay in an otherwise positively uncomfortable 2020.

NEW DELHI: How many of you know about the LGBTQ community? This was the first and the basic question put Indiantelevision.com founder and editor-in-chief Anil Wanvari during the session titled ‘Finding the Rainbow in the Indian Creative Industry.’ Panellists included filmmaker Ram Kamal Mukherjee, EORTV media executive director Kaushik Izardar, actor Hemant Kher, and renowned entrepreneur, pianist, songwriter and musician Shayan Italia.
Mukherjee opened the session by stating that they stand for free and equal rights for everybody. “They are not they and us, and it’s the beginning of the conversation. We should stop discriminating,” he said.
