Bengaluru is getting a facelift. After 42 fountains that will come up in the city to reduce air pollution, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (
BBMP) has decided to beautify 12
major traffic junctions. This too, will be designed with form and function in mind – to add to the aesthetics of the traffic junction while also giving you a visual lesson in history and also provide for easy movement of traffic.
Recently, the BBMP beautified ITC Windsor Circle at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore. “The BBMP has identified 12 traffic junctions. Designing of these circles is in progress. The objective of beautification of these junctions is to enable movement of vehicular traffic without any hassles. Efforts will be made to increase the aesthetic appeal of each traffic junction,’’ said Gaurav Gupta, BBMP Administrator.
